Louis XI gold Ecu d'or a la couronne ND (1461-1483) AU58 NGC, Fr-312. Obv. Crowned arms of France with a crowned lis to either side. Rev. Cross fleuree in quadrilobe, with crowns in angles. Full golden mint luster, with rather crude, but complete, strike. The flan is slightly wavy and little, if any, actual wear is noted, but close examination reveals minor handling marks. Definitely, a superior example of the type.
