Louis XIV Ecu 1679-A AU55 NGC, Paris mint, KM226.1, Dav-3805. An impressive selection featuring the parliamentary bust of Louis XIV with appreciable luster beneath classic, steel-gray patination. Very little evidence of wear is noted, however faint adjustment marks are present on the reverse, as is a flan flaw that cuts through the legend. Even so, few examples of this date have been offered, especially in this state of preservation.
