William III gold 1/2 Guinea 1695 MS63 NGC, Royal mint, KM487.1, S-3466. Early harp. A beautiful example of this one-year type, scarcely offered in a certified Mint State designation, featuring the laureate head of William III and four, crowned shields in cruciform. The eye is immediately captivated by antiqued, golden surfaces which are dappled with darker tone, followed by a considerable amount of underlying luminosity that makes a showy appearance when rotated. An altogether stunning representative of the type, well-deserving of its choice classification, and currently among only a handful of examples in a certified Mint State designation. From the RichLyn Collection
