George IV gold 2 Pounds 1823 AU58 NGC, Royal mint, KM690, S-3798. An enchanting example of this one-year type that displays the bare head of the King with the ever-popular St. George slaying the dragon motif. Mild friction is somewhat invisible to the unaided eye, however traces of handling are evident in the form of light wisps across the surfaces. A nearly uncirculated specimen with plenty of eye appeal.
