ATTICA. Athens. Ca. 465-460 BC. AR tetradrachm (23mm, 16.54 gm, 5h). Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet ornamented with vine scroll and three laurel leaves / Owl standing right, head facing, olive sprig and crescent left; AΘE to right; all within incuse square. Starr Group V.A., cf. 166b. Minor surface roughness, otherwise a choice example, with a pronounced "archaic smile" and a particularly well-struck reverse. NGC AU 5/5 - 3/5, Fine Style.
