Franz Joseph I copper Forint 1878-KB AU55 Brown NGC, KMX-M1a. Struck for the reopening of the mine at Schemnitz. Obv. Laureate bust right. Rev. Dates, 1782-1878, within a beaded circle. Deeply toned, with considerable iridescence and no actual wear. Few significant flaws are noted and this example is extremely nice for the grade. The stated mintage is 3, but it's likely that a few more actually exist. In any case, a very rare item.
