Lustrous Mint State with sharply struck features, attractive delicate toning and only a few scattered contact marks preventing the Choice designation. The undisputed key-date of this ever popular type, scarce in any preservation and conditionally rare in this fine quality. We note a lesser specimen, in identical technical certification yet less sharply detailed, which hammered at $2,500 in our 2014 Long Beach Signature sale (Heritage Auctions 9/2014, lot 31361).
