Francis and Mary silver Betrothal Medal (Jetton) 1553 XF45 NGC, Paris mint, MI-66/6. Crowned FM / Crowned Scottish arms. Sharply defined with deep gold and multicolored hues on both sides. Very rare. Issued prior to the 1558 marriage of the couple and thus not official coinage; hypothesized by Medallic Illustrations as a jetton for usage within the Royal households.
