Ferdinand & Isabella gold 2 Excelentes ND (1476-1516) AU58 NGC, Seville mint, Fr129, Calico-74, Cayon-2928. Obv. Crowned busts facing, an S between and a cross above. Rev. An eagle, head left, supporting quartered arms of the Catholic Monarchs. An attractive specimen, bright gold with subtle reddish tone. The strike is a bit uneven, with the usual weakness on the eagle's head corresponding with that of Ferdinand. Isabella's portrait is struck up with excellent detail, and considerable original mint luster remains.
