Charles II gold Pattern Broad 1662 AU55 NGC, Royal mint, KM-Pn32, North-2780 (rare), plain edge. By Thomas Simon. A lovely and highly original pattern issue. A few adjustment marks are noted on the portrait, but are minimally distracting. Evenly worn with medium toning, this is a type that often comes in somewhat worn condition. Indeed, the last example of this type that we have offered was a full two years ago, and that piece was graded by NGC as AU Details (Mount Removed), yet still managed to hammer at a strong $9,000.From the RichLyn Collection
