William IV gold Proof Sovereign 1831 PR62 Ultra Cameo NGC, Royal mint, KM717, S-3829B, WR-261. A rather rare proof sovereign that was issued for the 1831 coronation set. NGC and PCGS have only certified a combined 34 pieces. A few scattered hairlines, and a couple of marks on the cheek of William that are mostly obscured by the stark frosting on the devices. Overall a more than adequate example to add to one's sovereign collection.
