Genoa. Ligurian Republic 8 Lire 1798 MS62 NGC, KM266.1, Dav-1371. Beautiful old cabinet toning. A few pre-striking annealing marks, particularly on the reverse, but they aren't too distracting. A particularly bold motif on the obverse of the two standing figures. An elegant design with classy toning gives this piece superb eye appeal, with the fact that it is a generally rare type further adding to its desirability.
