Dutch Colony - United East India Company Ducaton 1741/0 AU50 NGC, Dordrecht mint (Holland), KM71, Dav-417, Sch-30 (RRRR). Boldly detailed with dove-gray and rustic gold tone over minimally marked surfaces. The flan is a touch short of round between two and four o'clock, but it does not obscure the legends. Altogether, a lovely example of this extremely rare date of which we have found no recent sales; surely no more than a small handful of examples exist outside of museum collections. For the date collector of this storied coinage, truly a dream coin.
