USA Administration Proof Peso 1904 PR67 PCGS, Philadelphia mint, KM168. Stunning, superb, amazing...one could go on and on using such adjectives to describe this coin. From a grading standpoint, this coin certainly belongs among the most elite level. Of the combined 138 proof 1904 pesos seen by NGC and PCGS, a mere 12 have been graded PR67 or better, suggesting that this coin easily fits within the top 10% of all known examples from a purely technical point of view. However, in addition to its merits on the Sheldon scale is its superlative eye appeal. Natural, old cabinet gray toning with significant underlying luster make this coin a beauty in hand. From our research of auction records over the last decade, we cannot find any piece that nearly approaches the quality and appeal of this one. US and World coin collectors alike will surely be pleased.
