Nicholas I Rouble 1841 CПБ-HГ XF45 NGC, St. Petersburg mint, Sev-3370, Uzd-4193, Bitkin-898. Reeded edge. By H. Gube. Commemorating the royal wedding. Obv. Conjoined busts left of Prince Alexander (Alexander II) and Maria Alexandrovna (of Hesse-Darmstadt). Rev. Psyche and Cupid (head and heart) standing facing, holding branch and bow, respectively, and both leaning upon garnished shield with conjoined monogram and surmounted by crown. Light gray surfaces, with even wear. Incorrectly listed on the holder as a medal, but the reeded edge is indicative of the rouble strikes. Very rare, with a reported mintage of just 950 pieces.
