RELIGIOUS TOKENS & AMULETS, Islamic. AV Token (2mm, 10.61 g, 5h). A hybrid copy, combining an obverse of a mohur of Akbar, dated AH 982 (AD 1574/5), and a reverse of an Agra mint mohur of Jahangir, dated AH 1020 (AD 1611/2). Shahada and AH date within quatrefoil; oaths of the Rashidun in outer margins / Mint formula and AH date in ornamental border. Cf. KM Type 108 (Akbar; for obv. prototype) and Type 185 (Jahangir; for rev.); Mitchiner, Indian, –; Brotman –. VF, toned, remains of previous mount.
