SYRIA. Seleukid Kingdom. Antiochus IX Cyzicenus, 115-95 B.C. AR Tetradrachm (15.84 gms), Antioch Mint, ca. 97-95 B.C. NGC Ch EF, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 3/5.
cf.SNG Israel-2709. Diademed head right within filleted border; Reverse: Zeus enthroned left holding Nike and scepter. Nicely struck and centered with complete reverse inscription. Some dark toned stains on high points of head and upper periphery of reverse. A few small areas of minor roughness but overall a well preserved example without detracting marks. NGC Ch EF, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 3/5.
