PHOCAS, 602-610. AV Solidus (4.52 gms), Constantinople Mint, 5th Officinae. NGC Ch AU, Strike: 4/5 Surface: 3/5 Crimped.
S-620. Draped, cuirassed and bearded bust of Phocas facing, wearing crown without pendilia, holding globus cruciger; Reverse: Angel standing facing holding globus cruciger and long staff topped by Tau-Rho. Slightly uneven strike with weakness to the left hand legend which is still discernible. A few small contact marks but these do nothing to detract from the overall appeal which includes a fair amount of luster to most surfaces. Light crimping and small scrape in northwest area. NGC Ch AU, Strike: 4/5 Surface: 3/5 Crimped.
