CHILE. Brass 8 Escudos Pattern, ND (ca. 1844). NGC AU-55.
KM-PnA4. Uniface. Struck by the Paris company of Trelon, Weldon et Weil, which was founded in 1844. Incorrectly dated (1835) on the NGC holder. The size of the planchet suggests it was intended as an 8 Reales trial strike rather than 8 Escudo. An interesting piece from early in the Republic of Chile era, with a trace of wear but no major marks. NGC AU-55.
