Signed HAMERANUS on truncation; Reverse: Mars, Justice and Peace standing, legend: "VIRTVS HONOS AEQVITAS" around. Prince Henri was the second son of Henri, Duke of Bouillon and was made a Marshal in 1643. Participating in the third of the Dutch Wars he was victorious in battles in Holland and Germany in the 1670's but was killed in 1675 fighting against the troops of Raimondo, Count of Montecucculi, an Italian General in the employ of the Habsburgs. Choice mahogany patina with flashes of original red remaining in protected areas. ALMOST UNCIRCULATED.
