Reverse: Ancient soldier with sword in right hand and a French crown upraised in his left stands amid the ruins of Constantine. Names of the 3 commanders above and PRISE DE CONSTANTINE / LE 13 OCTOBRE / 1837 in exergue along with the name of the engraver: CAQUE. Edge lettered: (prow of ancient ship) CUIVRE, indicating that this piece was struck between 1842 and 1845. A few small obverse spots. NEARLY MINT STATE.
