Gold Award Medal by Dupuis and Dubois, Nd (c.1900). 27.1 mm; 13.5 gms. Obverse: Flower-wreathed female bust representing the Republic, facing right. REPUBLIQUE / FRANCAISE to left and right. Faintly signed DANIEL DUPUIS in the right field. Reverse: Henri Dubois' Oak and laurel wreath design enclosing medallion inscribed OFFERT PAR / MR. ERNEST CAUVIN / DEPUTE. Cauvin held the office of Deputy from 1898 to 1907 before going on to be a Senator for the next 15 years. He is remembered by streets in three French towns which bear his name. ALMOST UNCIRCULATED
