FRENCH INDO-CHINA. Mixed Date Piastres, ca 1900-28. PCGS EF-40 to AU-58 Secure Holder.
KM-5a.1. 5 pieces in lot. Includes the dates 1900, 1903, 1904, 1926 and 1928. The most striking feature of this small group is the intense rainbow toning present on all five pieces with electric lustrous hues in the peripheries which pervades toward the center on nearly all of them. Though mildly circulated and with the accompanying slight contact marks there is massive eye appeal to these pieces which is all too seldom seen. Ironically the most vividly colored example, the 1904-A, is also the only one to garner a details grade for cleaning. Retail value upwards of $500 and likely more given the great appeal.
