ITALY. Papal States. 5 Baiocchi, 1851-R, (V). Pope Pius IX (1846-78). NGC PROOF-64 RB.
KM-1356; Berman-3321; CNI-37. Very elusive at this grade level, with fewer than half a dozen seen in any proof grade at NGC, and none seen so far at PCGS. Luxuriant amounts of remaining red beaming to the surface on the obverse, the reverse is predominately brown. Sharply struck and without spots or other problems. A very impressive example of the type. NGC PROOF-64 RB.
