CORPO / DEL GENIO MILE. / ALLA MEMORIA / DEL MINATORE / PIETRO MICCA / MDCCCXXVIII."Issued under the authority of King Carlo Felice to memorialize Micca's selfless act of valor in the tunnels below the Citidel in Turin. His sacrifice prevented French troops access to the city during the Siege of Turin in 1706. Dark pearl gray toning with multicolor highlights both sides. NEARLY MINT STATE.
