Head of Athena with frontal eye right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves above visor and floral scroll on bowl / Owl standing right, head facing, olive sprig and crescent moon behind, all in square incuse. Kroll 8. With underlying luster. Countermark on cheek of portrait. Two test cuts on body of owl and scratch in field on reverse, otherwise Nearly Very Fine.
