William III Crown 1695 AU58 PCGS, KM486, S-3470. Edge unreadable in slab. A nearly Mint State selection with evenly-colored argent surfaces and dappled, graphite patination. Original mint bloom brightens upon rotation, highlighting the well-struck design features, while the open fields contain light handling marks which are accounted for in the grade. An altogether attractive example from this ephemeral issue, highly-collectible at all levels, but exceedingly scarce in this quality or finer. Krause catalog price(s) for this item: $400 in VF, $1800 in EF.
