Senior 222.1D; MAC 2641. aVF. rnrnPossibly a title or a dynastic name, Gondophares (aka Gondophares-Sases or Gondaphares IV) is believed to be the king Gudnaphar mentioned in the apocryphal Acts of St. Thomas. According to this text, St. Thomas is commanded to preach the Gospel to the Indians and arrives at the court of this king; converting many and bringing Christianity to India.
