Anatolian Beyliks. Anonymous. Ca. 1350. AR "gigliato" (30 mm, 3.70 g, 8 h). Imitating a gigliato of Robert d'Anjou of Naples in Italy. King enthroned facing / Cross fleury. Cf. Schlumberger pl. XVIII, 18. Choice VF, nicely toned and exceptionally nice for this extremely rare issue.
According to Schlumberger, this imitation was struck under either the Beylik of Aydin or Menteshe. See Album 15, 359, for the only other example we could find (crude and poorly centered; realized $425 + BP).
