Huari Whistle Vessel from Peru, ca. 650 800 AD. An unusual Huari figural deity vessel from Peru, ca. 650 800 AD. It is 8" high and depicts the Corn God holding a large bird in his lap. He is nicely detailed with a crown made of ears of corn and the bird with its large, curved beak most likely represents a macaw. Strong mineral deposits, good tone on the whistle. Ex Pachenko estate.
