Mixtec Molcajete from Mexico, ca. 1000 – 1500 AD. A nice Mixtec molcajete (grinding dish) from Mexico, ca. 1000 – 1500 AD. This nicely made tripod dish is 4-3/4" in diameter and has an intricately incised design pattern in the tondo, which shows wear from usage. Nicely burnished, good mineral deposits and root marks.
