It is 4-1/2" high and depicts the primary deity Ai Apaec emerging from the mountains. He is nicely detailed and is adorned with serpents coiled around the mountain peaks. Good paint and mineral deposits. Cf. Giersz "El Mundo Sobrenatural Mochica", page 167, for nearly identical examples from the Herrera Museum, perhaps from the same mold or matrix.
