A Coptic Egyptian wood comb, c. 5th 8th Century AD, the central portion decorated with intricate incised geometric decoration. The large teeth long and well-formed, the narrow end with teeth of even size. 6 x 2 1/8 (15.2 x 5.4 cm). Minor losses and a nice example which once formed part of the toiletry assemblage of a fashionable lady! rnEx New Jersey private estate.
