KINGS of THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28mm, 17.06 g 6), Magnesia, 297/6-282/1. Diademed head of Alexander the Great to right with horn of Ammon over his ear. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ Athena seated left, her left arm resting on shield, spear behind; race torch with fillets to outer left, monogram to inner left. Thompson 115. A lovely example with most attractive old cabinet toning. A few marks, otherwise, good very fine.
