KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18mm, 4.28 g 12), Magnesia, circa 323-319. Head of Herakles to right with lion skin. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left on backless throne, holding eagle in his right hand and long scepter with his left; to left, bee; to right, spear-head upwards. Price 1939. Nearly extremely fine.
