KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28mm, 17.16 g 8), Uncertain mint, possibly Corinth, c. 310-290. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin. Rev. AΛEΞANΔΡOΥ Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and, in his right, eagle standing right with closed wings; to left, Nike sacrificing bull; below throne, ΔE. Price - (cf. 685 for the same letters below the throne). Nearly extremely fine.

An apparently unpublished variety with a very interesting symbol on the reverse.
