THESSALY, Pelinna. First quarter of the 4th century BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 16mm, 2.72 g 3). Helmeted horseman to right, raising spear to strike at unseen adversary. Rev. [Π]ΕΛΙΝ-ИAIK[OИ] (retrograde) Warrior, wearing petasos and dressed in short tunic, advancing left and looking back, his right leg stepping on a higher level than his left, carrying shield with his left and spear with his right. BCDT 517 (same dies). Extremely rare. About very fine.
