GAUL, Namnetes. Circa 100-50 BC. Stater (Gold, 22mm, 7.40 g 10). Celticized head of Apollo to right within ornate border, his hair flowing behind. Rev. Celticized charioteer driving biga left; below, figure with outstretched arms. Cf. De la Tour 6728. Depeyrot, NC VIII 173. Cf. D&T série 308A, 2183. Very rare variety with reverse type left. Some striking flatness and some light scratches on reverse, otherwise, very fine.
