THESSALY, Thessalian League. Late 2nd-mid 1st century BC. Stater (Silver, 25mm, 5.90 g 12), Nyssandros and Pherekrates. Head of Zeus to right, wearing oak wreath. Rev. ΘEΣΣA/ΛΩN / NVΣΣ-ANΔPOY / [Φ]EPEKPATH[Σ] Athena Itonia striding to right, hurling spear held in her right hand, shield on her left arm. BCDT 868.4. Cut on the obverse and minor scrapes on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
