CRETE, Phaistos. Circa 330-320 BC. Drachm (Silver, 22mm, 5.88 g 10). ΦΑΙΣ Youthful head of Herakles to left. Rev. Facing bucranium. Cf. Le Rider pl. XXIV, 7. Svoronos p. 261, 41 and pl. XXIV, 8. A rather elegant coin with an obverse struck from a small gem-like die well-centered on a broad flan. Traces of overstriking on the obverse and reverse, otherwise, very fine.
