CRETE, Rhaukos. Circa 330-270 BC. Stater (Silver, 24mm, 11.21 g 12). Poseidon, nude but for his wreath, standing right, holding a trident in his right hand and the reins of his horse, standing right behind him with his right fore hoof raised. Rev. [Ρ]ΑΥ[ΚΙΟΝ] (retrograde) Trident with points upward. Svoronos p. 305, 6 and pl. XXIX, 11. Traces of overstriking and some corrosion, otherwise, good very fine.
