IONIA, Ephesos. Circa 370-340 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 21mm, 15.26 g), Demokrates. Ε - Φ Bee with straight wings. Rev. ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΗΣ Forepart of stag to right, head turned back to left; to left, date palm. Pixodarus Hoard 181. An attractive piece of good style and with a lovely toning. Nearly extremely fine.
