ISLANDS off IONIA, Samos. Circa 310-300 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 19mm, 6.34 g 5), Asklepiades. Lion's mask facing. Rev. ΣΑ / ΑΣΚΛΗΠΙΑΔ[ΗΣ] Forepart of an ox to right, with a dotted truncation and an olive branch to right. Barron p. 214, 2 (cf. Nomos 7, 137 same dies). Bright, but with some traces of corrosion. Good very fine.
