Anonymous, c. 225-214 BC. Didrachm or Quadrigatus (Silver, 19mm, 6.01 g 12), Rome. Laureate head of Janus. Rev. Jupiter, hurling thunderbolt with his right hand and holding a scepter with his left, in quadriga right driven by Victory; below, ROMA raised on outlined tablet. Crawford 28/3. RBW 77. Sydenham 65. A lovely, finely toned coin with a sharply struck reverse. Slightly rough surfaces, otherwise, good very fine.
