Antoninus Pius, 138-161. Quinarius (Gold, 14mm, 3.69 g 6), Rome, 152-153. ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P XV Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Antoninus Pius to right. Rev. COS IIII Victory advancing left, holding wreath in her right hand and palm frond with her left. BMC 794. Cohen 261 (misdescribed). RIC 225 (misdiscribed). Vagi 1438. Very rare. A lovely coin of particularly fine style. Minor traces of mounting, otherwise, about extremely fine.
