Gordian III, 238-244. Antoninianus (Silver, 23mm, 4.60 g 6), barbarous imitation struck at a local mint, 241-243. IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian to right. Rev. AETERNITATI AVG Sol standing left, extending his right arm and holding globe in his left hand. Cf. Cohen 41 and RIC 83. Perfectly struck and centered., and in very good metal. A particularly well-preserved example for a barbarous issue. Extremely fine.
