SICILY, Katane. Circa 450-405 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24mm, 17.20 g 3). Quadriga moving slowly to the right; above, Nike flying left to crown the charioteer. Rev. [KATANAION] Laureate head of Apollo to right, with his hair cut short in the manner of an athlete. Rizzo pl. XI, 6 (same obverse die). SNG ANS 1250 (same dies). SNG Lloyd 895 (same obverse die). Struck from slightly worn dies with minor breaks, otherwise, nearly very fine.
