Head of Athena right, wearing pearl necklace, triple-pendant earring and crested Corinthian helmet decorated with griffin; behind, owl; below A. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ PΥΡΡΟΥ Nike advancing left, holding wreath in her right hand and trophy with her left; in field to left, thunderbolt. Cf. for the original type Gulbenkian 910. Rare. An impressive piece with most attractive old cabinet toning. Extremely fine.
