Pompey the Great. 45-44 B.C. AE as (30.8 mm, 12.34 g, 2 h). Spanish or Sicilian mint. Eppius, legate. MAGN / PIVS·IMP·F, laureate head of Janus with the features of Cn. Pompeius Magnus, altar between heads / EPPIVS / LEG, prow of galley right. Crawford 478/1; Sydenham 1045a; RPC 487. Fair, brown and green patina. Very Rare.
