Valerian I. AD 253-260. AR Antoninianus (22mm, 3.93 g, 12h). Samosata mint. 1st emission, AD 255-256. Radiate and draped bust right / Valerian and Gallienus standing facing one another, holding eagle-tipped scepter and parazonium, respectively, and sacrificing over lighted altar between them. RIC V 284; MIR 36, 1676e; RSC 153. Near EF, lightly toned, some porosity, light deposits on the obverse.
